First-years live on or beside campus in a garden square, register with the NHS surgery inside the campus itself, shop at a Waitrose eight minutes away, and reach Heathrow on one direct train. South Kensington is one of the most secure, affluent, well-patrolled quarters of London. It is about as gentle as a first year in the capital can be.
